Participation in Working Groups

  • WG1 - Biophysics of cell and tissue structure

Research Interests

Our group is focused on evolutionary processes undergoing Y chromosome degeneration. During my PhD, I am using clasical cytogenetic techniques (immunostaining, FISH...) and new methods in molecular biology (transcriptome modulation of male genome) to study sex chromosomes in model plant Silene latifolia.

Technologies offered to other EuroCellNet participants

cytogenetic techniques - FISH (BAC, "single copy" FISH), plant chromosome preparation for different kinds of subsequent analysis (meiocytes, classical metaphases)

microscopic techniques - FLIM

image processing - moderate skills of ImageJ and Photoshop

Technologies sought from other EuroCellNet participants

3D-SIM, STED, advanced image processing
