The "Lamins and laminopathies" research group at the Unit of Bologna of the CNR Institute of Molecular Genetics is focused on cell biology of lamins and nuclear envelope proteins, regarding both basic cellular mechanisms and pathogenetic mechanisms of laminopathies.

- Laminopathies: Hutchinson-Gilford Progeria, Mandibuloacral Dysplasia, Familial Prtial Lipodystrophy type 2, Emery-Dreifuss Muscular Dystrophy, COngenital Muscular Dystrophy - LMNA -related, Dilated Cardiomyopathy with Conduction Disorders (DCM1A).
