  • WG4 - Mechanobiological principles of rare and common diseases

General description research focus

The Szeri lab is a subgroup of Genome Stability Research Group at Institute of Enzymology, Research Centre for Natural Sciences, Budapest, Hungary. The Szerilab focuses on understanding the complex molecular mechanisms of ectopic mineralization in rare hereditary disorders and multifactorial diseases. Besides unraveling physiological processes leading to or inhibiting the calcification of soft tissues, we seek therapeutic approaches to prevent, alleviate, or resolve ectopic mineralization.
